About Tomasos

In 1976, Ray & Janene Thomas left behind their teaching careers in Kenosha, WI to pursue their dreams of owning a small business in the heart of downtown Cedarburg. Second generation pizza traditions continued in 2005 when both children, Nicole and Scott, purchased the business upon their parents retirement. Today, Scott's spouse Kristin is actively involved in the family business as well. Our unique way of making pizza (placing the cheese on the bottom) and supreme quality of all our fresh ingredients has set us apart from the competition and helped Tomaso's earn several distinguished awards of recognition: Milwaukee Magazine's Best Pizza (1994 & 2010) and Ozaukee County's Best Pizza several years running. In trying to remain at the forefront of the pizza industry, we have introduced several trend setting products to our menu including a whole wheat and gluten free pizza crust. Throughout the years we have been blessed with many hard working employees.

Tragedy struck our restaurant in October of 2009. A fire broke out in the tenant's apartment above the dining room. There was extensive smoke damage in the restaurant and the entire second floor was destroyed. During the three weeks the restaurant was closed and the next year of rebuilding upstairs, we received an overwhelming outpour of support from the community. These acts of kindness reinforced our long held beliefs in the importance of giving back to our community. Over the years we have shown support to many organizations / causes in Cedarburg including: Chamber of Commerce, Rivoli restoration, CFD, CHS/CCSF, and many athletic programs. The prosperity of our community has been and always will be our priority.
